Oops so I thought I was all caught up on vacation updates, but I still had a ton of Cali pictures from our short 3 days there. Even though we stayed in Vegas longer our Cali trip was packed, we were getting 5 hours of sleep every night because we wanted to see everything before we left.
Oh this is from Vegas right a few days before we left. David thought he beat me at shuffleboard... but he was wrong :P!
haha I was red by the way.
Our first night in Hollywood, after a 7 hour Greyhound bus ride... The bus ride was a whole nother story... We walked up and down Hollywood Blvd, stopping at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Then we stopped for some pizza, which they had plenty of.
Day 2
We went on one of those guided tours... yes we are super touristy.
This is how I look when I try to serenade you :P
Then later that night we took a bus to Santa Monica Beach, just as the sun set. It was chillllay! Cali gets so cold, I was not prepared. But nonetheless we spread out our towels and relaxed on the beach. Then we played a game of "get as close to the water as you can without letting a wave touch you". Surprisingly the water was still a bit warm, and no jelly stings :)
The pier had a carnival and looked awesome at night.
We had ceramic portraits done of both our faces, except they never dried properly and some guy smushed my face in at the airport :( But the street artist was AMAZING. We convinced him to stay late to finish ours since we were leaving the next day.
Last Day in Cali
I had to make a stop at In-and-Out burger, after hearing so many good things about it. I'm not a big fan of burgers but it was very yummy. I have to say though.. the fries are better than the burger. They taste like they've been baked and not fried in oil.
After making our way around Cali I think David and I have a pretty good understanding of public transportation now. This man above was waiting at the subway to help lost tourists (for tips of course) all day. He even got on the same bus to make sure we didn't get lost... Then he showed us his panther tattoo? haha
Since we were flying out of the Orange County airport we had to take the subway to Union Square in LA, a train from LA to OC, and then a bus to the airport. But we made it! What a trip.
There is so much more I want to post but it's been a long day... and I've picked up working out again.. so sore. Time to study, bye!
