Pooped
This week has been crazy. Graduation parties, birthday parties, reunion parties, and random club parties just because! I had an AWESOME time hanging out with my long lost friends from high school. We went to a new place in chinatown called The Tea Bar. The drinks were cute, but a bit on the warm side. Food was yummmyy.
I especially love the fried squid balls, topped with dried seaweed and mayo?
The next day we went to happy hour at Kona Grill. This is the bbq chicken pizza *minus the onions* below. nom nom nom.
The crew, we look exactly the same haha 4 years hasn't changed much :)
Then we got desert at marble slab, ice cream makes me happy. I got my usual, butter pecan mixed with snickers. The gummy bears are skiing down my ice cream mound.
THEN later that night I went out with girlfrans, just because. It was a tuesday night... the most popping night of the week...
I decided to accessorize that night, if you could call it that cause I really only wore a bracelet. I got it a long time ago from the limited.
This was probably too dressy for the club, but I really don't own a lot of "clubby" clothes anymore... aka short stuff. Someone said I look like I'm going to work...foreal?
Old steve madden wedges that are still the most comfortable wedges I own. They are my go to clubbing shoes and they def need some loving. Suede is so difficult to keep nice.
More posts to come. I've just uploaded a ton of albums to facebook so I'm still going through a couple hundred photos. I like taking pictures, but I end up being the photographer at many events, which means tons of uploading.

Determined
So it is official. I am officially a part of UTHSCSA class of 2015! It is a mouthful and stands for University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. As much as I had my hopes set on staying in Houston I refuse to be sad about getting into medical school! This is more than I could have wished for and I am excited to start a new journey.
"just because a new chapter is about to start in your life doesn't mean our chapter is going to end!" Some comforting words from the bf after I found out.
3 hrs. and 12 mins. away from home, but close to an hour to san marcos and also close to Austin :)
To look on the bright side San Antonio has more attractions and recreational things to do than houston, such as the river walk, seaworld, schlitterban, and a notable sports team *spurs!!
Anyway wore this outfit to the bff's graduation.
Strong houldered blazer: Urban Behavior
Dress: Forever21
Heels: Chinese Laundry
So I need to get used to the strong shoulder. I haven't owned anything with should pads as pronounced as this one haha.
I posted this dress awhile back when I went salsa dancing in Dallas.
Anyway this was a monumental week, one I will never forget. So many new beginnings, including the engagement of my amazing sister Christina! Congratulations :)
All this talk about med school, graduations, and engagements makes me miss the old days! Back when all I did was worry about homecomings and proms.

Style-ish Inspiration
So I was inspired by the beautiful photo calendar posted by the lovely blogger I am Style-ish and decided I needed an equally fun and festive board to display them on. So I made a trip to Hobby Lobby and ended up spending hourss there... not an exaggeration btw.
So there is a 40% off coupon for hobby lobby that last until 12/18 if anyone is interested in buying crafts. I bought a cork board, glitter spray paint, black paint, stencil, and I already had the brushes. Total cost: under $15
I painted the entire board with black paint, and when it dries it is very even, this picture was taken while there were still wet spots.
Then I took it outside to spray paint. At first I sprayed using the stencil but it came out rather sporadically so I decided to just glitter the whole board.
After it dried I placed the pictures on it and luckily they all fit cause I didn't measure it! haha
Then I used some pretty colorful push pins and ta da! I love it. It is definitely an upgrade from the sad calendar printout I have taped to my wall. Sprucing up cork boards are a fun way to decorate and so inexpensive. I suggest using paint for stenciling though, spray paint just gets too messy.
Wore this outfit out to Cheeseberry and to shoot pool. Since learning that Cheeseberry was closing down yesterday, I've ate there TWICE!
Spicy Kimchi Bulgolgi Pizza
The night ended like this.... Now I am awake anxiously awaiting the results of my med school match which will be posted in 5 hours!!!

Blast to the Past
Back when xanga was the blogspot... Reading my old posts brings back so many memories. I remember all the good and bad of middle school and high school days. I guess I was always a blogger :) I took lots of pictures even back then. I'm so glad xanga is still up, I would hate to lose these precious entries. I remember one entry where I was complaining of feeling old... WOW now I feel silly haha

Muted
I hit the books today, sorta. It's been awhile since I've gotten in the zone, but my last final is monday so I'm gearing up to make one last push. I wore a comfy outfit today and headed to Barnes and Noble. I realized when I went to forever21 yesterday that I tend to gravitate towards pale, muted colors. I was playing around with the zoom on my camera today so I look about 20+ shots, a select few were chosen haha.
It was freezing today... I like! I got this jacket a year ago and I still love it! It's so easy to wear, the lining on the inside is super soft and warm.

Forever Heaven
Sweater: Express
Shirt: BDG from Urbanoutfitters
Pants: Urban Behavior from metropark
Still sick, but today I accompanied my friend lynn and morris to the massive 80,000 sq. ft of heaven, known as the forever21 of baybrook mall. See us in the picture below? haha we are tinnyy. 4 trips to the changing room, 2 very full bags, and 4 hours later we left without covering half of the store. JUST HUGE!
The store had everything you could find online and more! It was also super organized, even the sale section was neat and tidy. This probably had something to do with us shopping on a Tuesday haha. It was heaven, seriously fully stocked and we were like the only ones in the whole store. It had escalators.. trust me I was amazed.
Sneak peekery at some of my finds.
This was actually a pic of a shirt at metropark that I fell in love with but it was $51, typically $74 but I found one almost exactly the same but half the price!
Trying to experiment more with prints. Above is a dress, perfect for the beach, can't wait to wear it.
Below a tank that won me over with the chain straps and teal color that is missing from my closet.
Cargo
So I got these cargo skinny pants a while back from metropark on sale and I haven't worn them in a post but if anyone wants them they're still on sale! They fit true to size, I am a 26 but I ordered a 27 cause reviews said they ran small...not true! A 27 is okay but I think 26 would have been better.
Also free shipping for the holidays!

Online Vs. Mall
This past weekend our family put up the Christmas tree and it is awesome! It totally makes it feel like Christmas when presents start popping up under the tree.
This is an awesome picture my big sis took with my new camera :D
Outfit post! So I browse (shop) online quite often, but I stick to ordering things that I know for sure will fit me. Pants I am more reluctant to order because different brands vary. Shoes I will usually order, bags definitely order. Shipping always gets to me though so I will always chose to ship to the store for pickup if they have that option. Shopping at the mall is more fun though and you really know what you're getting so I try to browse online and then find it in stores. I've gotten very good at finding the same pieces online in forever21 stores haha it makes shopping there much simpler. Hope you guys have good luck shopping online as well!
American Apparel: Circle Scarf
The Loft: Shirt
Zara: Blazer
H&M: Tights
I wore this to school and then to my 3rd interview at VS today -.-
So I'm gonna try to be better about posting the deals I find. Usually I browse online and I don't post things until I actually wear them, but since good deals go quick I will get on it sooner. I found this skirt below from Express for $25, orig. 50, but they always have coupons so I'm sure you could get it cheaper. I used the gift card my awesome lil sis got me :) Thanks Linnie! Anyway the draping is really pretty and it's an olive/grey color which seems to be very popular.
This is another skirt from express thats the same price that I realllyyyy love, but it isn't in stores, only online. Check it out :) I don't know if the belt comes with it or not.
I've been wearing this shirt a lot. I love how it has a silver chain detain and a satin pocket. Instead of buying tee shirts I'd rather buy simple shirts with special detailing that I can dress up or down.
