Weirdo

So yesterday while eating with some friends at the Cove I received a phone call from a 281 number. I picked up cause I didn't have the number saved and it was a Houston area code. The following conversation ensued....

BBD: Hello?
me: hello...?
BBD: Who is this?
me: uhh I don't know, who is this?! 
BBD: I got a text from this number
me: uh I didn't text you.. What did the text say?
BBD: It said.. ....*mumble muble*
me: wait it said whatttt?
BBD: IT SAID that you were PREGNANT
me: WHAT THE! NO definitely not NOO (I'm sure all the color drained from my face at this point) 
me: uhh uhhhhhhhhh no no no I think you have the wrong number 
BBD: well you texted me ............... 

Anyway I think I was so flustered I just hung up on him and he called me back right after, but I was so confused I just ignored it. So I feel bad for this guy, who might now be a baby daddy or maybe the girl that is pregnant text the wrong dude..... if that is the case, it explains a lot. Also, BBD stands for big black dude... not tryna be racist but he sounded like it.....  My friends could obviously see that I was taken aback and when I told them we all had a good laugh... hahah 

Yesterday I went to the anberlin concert at backstage live. Pretty cool place for SA, but the crowd was mostly high school kids, although I prob fit right in cause at the door they asked how old I was and the bouncer dude thought I was under 21 forsure. My favorite songs from them are Art of War and Impossible, which they played neither. I loveee going to concerts though and I managed to weasel my way to the front of the crowd haha. Then afterwards I went to a bday partayy for a friend :) and we sang the night away.

Life

Picked rotations today for 3rd year, after an hour my head was spinning. Even though the 2 paths lead to the same outcome I agonized over the survey wayy longer than I needed to. I ended up choosing:

Internal Med

Surgery 

• Surgical Oncology
• Transplant
• Anesthesiology 

Elective (er researchhh?!?!)

3 week vaycayyyy with the fam!

Fam Med
Peds
OB/GYN
Psych 

This is all assuming I pass my step and don't fail any classes this year *crosses fingers* hahhh..................................

Kenneth Cole iPad case aka perfect makeup case

       

    

    

Last two pictures are from theglamourai. what a brilliant idea I wish I had thought of it first, and also that the case was not 300 dollars haha. Anyway I love what I use now to carry around makeup/other essentials but it doesn't fit brushes or my naked palette. 

Adorable gift from my girlfrans that I use all the time and still looks spankin new, despite how messy makeup can get. Trying to find an alternative to this kenneth cole case, but it's pretty unique.

These Days

Recently two of my friends have created blogs, maybe with a little encouragement by me. I always suggest that people create blogs though, because I know how glad I am every time I reminisce and I look back on my posts no matter how silly they seem after. It makes you appreciate the good times you had and gain perspective on the difficult moments. Anyway I also love to live vicariously through other people's blogs since the only thing that excites me nowandays is a quiet study spot with wi-fi, outlets, and if I'm lucky an ottoman.

What I wore to happy hour with the girls after our test yesterday. I don't care if it's justtt HH! I don't want to look like a tired slob anymore haha. My love for skyhigh wedges has grown and I added these beauties to my closet I would stay they're borderline 6 inches.... but I luv! Even though they make me tower over everyone meh who cares.

Hi 2013!

22 days into the new year and I finally feel like I'm starting it off right. I spent MLK weekend catching up with friends and meeting new people. Now that the date of my STEP exam is finalized I'm slowly and painfully getting into the groove of studying for it as well as balancing regular school work (one of the reasons this blog is not gonna get a lot of lovin' this year). I'm hoping to start/work out some sort of research proj soon so I can graduate with my MD with distinction in research... wooooo Those are the highlights of my year so far haha
