500 Days

PEEKTURES! yay 2nd blog post in a row. Today started with scanning a bajillion pictures from old albums and cooking a late breakfast/lunch of grilled lemon herb chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms.. Sorry no pics of the food to prove that I actually cooked and ate it. I actually ate pretty healthy today, at least compared to other days where I eat out breakfast, lunch, and dinner..and dessert :/

This is my lil sis and bam bam!.. she (my sister) normally doesn't look this weird :P

Bam officially has a collar! bam bam is finally claimed.. even though it took us a whole year, hopefully we never lose her, all hell would break loose. We were so mesmerized by the laser engraving machine at petsmart haha. Then after we got home getting the tag on was... painful to say the least. WHY an S hook? I attempted to secure it through hammering and finally using some pliers in creative ways.

Anyhoooo... I rewatched 500 days of summer again the other day, for the 4th time, quite possibly my most favorite movie. I can't help but fawn over summer's (zooey deschanel) outfits. They're so feminine and delicate with such unique details. I guess it really does take a certain figure and personality to pull off outfits such as hers. I wouldn't say my style falls under this category, but I like to have pieces like this in my closet, and pull them on everytime I want to feel like a housewife.. JK... although they have a bit of a housewife feel to them.

So, my version of her style.

Knee length? check
Simple silhouette? check
Details in the oversized bows? check
Pockets? :( sadly no... I was pretending I had pockets in my pictures haha

Dress: Anthropologie
Belt: Asos
Wedges: Zara

I tried the dress with about 5 different belts, thick, skinny, neutral, braided, but all to no avail. I finally whipped out this bright bow belt that I ordered from asos some time ago and it seemed like an interesting detail to add. Idk belt or no belt? It was fun to wear it around town. I've mentioned before I like to dress up when I don't feel particularly good. It's a nice pick me up.

Toodles!
