Change of Scene

I had my bf take my pictures today, so no there was no hassle of setting my camera on top of shoe boxes and setting the timer. Also my pictures come out better in natural light.. too bad he can't follow me around taking all my pictures.

I wore this outfit around town today... I kept track and today I drove 130 miles around Houston alone -.- that is only thing I hate about Houston... the driving and the traffic.

I guess I wouldn't want to walk around in my heels all day though. I just picked these up yesterday from Fedex. They came all the way from the UK! I couldn't resist the free shipping from asos (also these were marked down to $20 and in my size!)

I was boring this year and decided to stay in for Halloween. After the scary incident earlier this week I have no desire to walk the streets at night surrounded by crazy drunk people in costume. Also I need to seriously study.
Tonight I went to my cousin's musical, which was awesome! Reminded me of Glee.

MFBP

I think it is an understatement to say that I have never been more pissed in my life. There are no words to express my hatred for f* that think it is ok to ambush, rob, or beat another person, much less my family. I wonder how people are raised to think that is not a big deal, they are obviously not human, and deserve to go to hell and until then they should be locked up in jail with the majority of their kind.

I'm trying to study but instead of reaction rates I can't stop thinking about my dad. He has worked his whole life without a single complaint. He wakes at 4 AM to go to work and comes home at 7 PM. It is unfair that the only job he could get was in an undesirable neighborhood but he still goes. Since coming to America he has been cheated, scammed, and now this. Why do terrible things happen to good people? I am so grateful that he is home and safe. Please everyone stay safe.

On To The Next Thing

Now that interviews are over and I can't do anything to change my fate I am moving on to the next thing. I have been pretty lazy lately and that is all going to change! I started looking for a job today to help offset my dwindling savings, due to an expensive habit :X Hopefully once I start working I will be much more productive and save up to travel next semester before my social life is over.

A not so flattering picture of the top I wore to a birthday this past weekend. It is actually really cute in person and this angle is not helping.

My affordable alternative to the two tone shopper I posted a while back. I needed a belt and a black purse for my interviews...and I bought this one just after my last interview..haha Anyway I heart this bag, it also came in a super cute nude color... I went shopping for birthday gifts and I found so many cute things! I ended up buying a few christmas gifts wayyy early, but oh well it's better than shopping for myself :)

Done!

I'm finally done with med school interviews!! As happy as I am it is still bittersweet. Every interviews excites me and leaves me feeling so motivated I'm going to miss visiting all the campuses. I thought interviewing was the hardest part but now I am so unsure about what to rank the schools.

Info given to me from each school...Only tech spelled my name wrong on the name badge haha.

Baylor

UTMB, man my name tag takes up my whole shirt! haha

A&M

In Dallas the day before my interview

UT-H Loved this tour the most!

More posts to come, I have photo overload right now since I've been MIA for awhile. On another note Congrats to my awesome cousin Jeanne for getting into nursing school in Houston!!!

Fr: Dallas

Hi, I'm in Dallas. I am supposed to be preparing for my interview but I can't think because a group of guys are watching sports and telling derogatory jokes really loudly... So... these are some things I want when I move out. Yes I've already started decorating my future place in my head.

Trunk to store clothes when they're out of season. (Is this kind of scary?)

Puzzle globe!!! I've always been into puzzles and this 3-D globe is super cool but kind of pricey.

Even though I don't sew I still want one of these. I would use it to hang my jackets, hats, and necklaces. Maybe eventually I will learn to sew and attempt to make something, probably a skirt... seems easiest haha

Chillin'

The crazy week is over. I've been exhausted lately for no reason. For the past few days I have been getting 8 hours of sleep and 3 meals a day despite my tests and papers. I can't deprive myself of sleep or else I will go crazy. I haven't really put much thought (actually none) into my outfits so this is what I wore today.

I got these shoes about month ago and have worn them excessively. They are so comfortable and because the color is a creamy leather, they pretty much go with everything. I am really glad I got leather instead of the brown suede I posted a while ago. David calls them my pocahantas shoes.

Today was spent catching up on all my shows, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Community, and Modern Family. I know hours of television... awesome :)

Shoe Love

It is pretty sad when you go a whole day without a single laugh... I remember on the radio they said babies laugh on average 300 times a day O.O sighh Anyway these pictures didn't make me laugh but they did make me smile...and then frown because I couldn't have them haha

Which one do you like the most? I can't decide I love them all!

Bag Obsession of the Month

Why doesn't ZARA have a shop online option? It seems like every month I love a different bag. This month it is the two-tone shopper that is $85. It would already be in my shopping cart if I hadn't promised no more purchases :(

If the pictures above don't convince you maybe seeing it styled by Tess from The Little Black List will. She wears it with many different styles and it makes casual look a little more put together. Also I really love that cognac brown color for the handles and straps.

Anyway I can't wait til Christmas so I can shop for everyone and not feel guilty :)

Overload

I have so many things I want to post about and so little time! Every time I browse the web I save pictures that I want to blog about, things that inspire me, or things I'm drooling over but my desktop is getting a bit messy so here are some pictures.

What I wore tonight to a friend's birthday. I've been wearing these shoes a lot, but at least I'm getting my monies worth :) I miss flares, this is the first pair that I've worn in a longg time. I like the color and it has a cuffed hem so they're more dressy. The fit is awesome! they don't loosen up at all.

Shirt and Necklace : Forever21
Jeans: Express
Shoes: Aldo
Bag: Gucci

Pluckers, I won him from the claw machine (with the help of the bf... not really haha) and he likes to play pool.

So the bf spilled the beans way early on what my Christmas present is going to be and I am SUPER excited. It will be getting a lot of use on this blog. But since I'm better at keeping secrets you guys won't find out until I get it hehe.

Lucky

I don't know if I believe in karma, but I have some good luck (most of the time). I'm so glad there are still nice people out there! It's refreshing to know that some people will return lost items, or ask you if you need help, or say no big deal when you rear end them.... Anyhooo today was a good day, even after a mishap that occurred while leaving school.

Some phone pics:

Yay for free cotton candy on campus!

Yes that is a 10 ft inverted cupcake with light up led frosting on the ceiling. jk I don't know if it was 10 ft but it was pretty huge! I finally found a cupcake place I like! The cake was moist! and the frosting was not insanely sweet or thick. It's called Cupcake Cafe in Sugar Land.

This is David's ketchup cupcake below haha

Something I wore this week, comfy. This shirt isn't as long as I'd like considering I was wearing tights, but my backpack covered everything :)

I forgot I had these boots because I bought them at the very end of winter last year (yay for end of season sales) and this was my first time wearing them.

Top: Forever21
Leggings: Target
Boots: Steve Madden

The color is soo pretty, I prefer this sort of brown over black any day.

Dress Up

These pics are from the Zara lookbook, which I love everything about. I just wanted to post the ones with thigh highs because at first I wanted them but wasn't sure how to wear them or how practical they would be.

Now I love them! I just bought a romper and was sad that the weather was cooling down, but now I can wear them with my socks :) This is what I put together the other day when I was sad and bored. I like them because they give summer clothes another chance to be worn haha.

Zara: Blazer
Forever21: Romper
Express: Thigh high socks
Shasa: Shoes

So someone said my blog is all about clothes and fashion, and yes it's a big part but only because I can't write about how many hours a day I study which would be totally depressing. Fashion cheers me up, and not in a material way, because I can't afford anything extravagant but I like to see the style people choose to express themselves.

Change of Pace

After my A&M interview I thought, and I am still thinking about moving away for med school. Although it would be ideal to stay in Houston for friends, bf, and especially family, I don't know if I could truly stay focused. The people we surround ourselves with impact us more than we realize. I feel like the effort it takes to be successful in school requires a lot of selfishness. I hate saying no to requests or favors, which is why I occasionally cave to pressure, but I know in the future I won't have time to spare. This is why I would be perfectly happy with a change of pace, even if it is in a small town (not lubbock).

One thing I would miss about Houston is the food!

Fins Seafood, Sushi & Grill, thanks for the invite!
Happy Hour is awesome :)

Then Saturday the girls dressed up fancy and we went out for *drink haha not drinks.

Bad quality pictures, sorry.

Big head picture.

OH! and the bf is coming back from Cali today!!! *excitings*

Song Suggestion :
Christina Aguilera - You Lost Me
Maybe Glee should make an episode for her as well :)
