Bakery

So I just finished a 90 minute bikram yoga class and what do I think about immediately after? FOOD! This is a big desert post. I never uploaded the pictures from my attempt at making macarons. So enjoy!

All the ingredients to make these delicious french cookies, minus the kitchenaid mixer, food processor, baking pan, and piping bag I borrowed from my cousin :) I was making raspberry macarons, but I didn't buy the food coloring so they just look like bloody hamburgers according to tram.

Piping is not so easy..

Ohmygahhhhh they're rising!!! The excitement.. for the 8-10 minutes they're baking I check almost every minute just to make sure they didn't break or bake flat like they many times do. My 2nd batch was actually the best, my 3rd the worst, and my 4th the prettiest.

mmm bloody hamburgerss

They were sooo yummmy, but almost 90% sugar haha

Then the other day we decided to make tres leches... It is actually quite simple if you skimp on a few steps like using white cake mix from a box and buying ready made whip cream.. but we decided to make our cake from scratch. So you bake the cake and pierce holes evenly throughout.

Then you pour a mixture of whole milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, honey, and cinnamon into the hole and along the side of the cake.

Make sure to get it in the holes!! :P

Let it sit in the fridge for a bit, then spread whip cream and sprinkle cinnamon on the cake..

And TADA, it really is as moist as it looks haha. Even though it's 10:30... I'm extremely tired and will most likely conk out soon. Goodnight!
