Hallelujah

I can't believe we got back to the hotel before 6 PM today!!! Even though I woke up at 5:20 AM this morning, I just had so much energy when we got back because this was the first time I've been able to just relax and do whatever I wanted on my schedule!!! whoooot The picture above is me trying to look put together at 6 AM, about to leave to shadow my orthopedic surgeon (note the box of lucky charms next to me). I made sure to eat lots so I wouldn't black out in the OR. Sooo I saw some crazy things before noon today including, two skin grafts and one guy everyone called "maggot foot". I am super excited to follow my surgeon on tuesday now after seeing how cool skin grafts are!

Lunch at the cafeteria... so I got a fortune cookie that said, "You will receive unexpected support over the next week. Accept it graciously." Advice taken.

I'm legit baby, white coat and everything. Actually I was not running around in heels all day but they make the picture look better. In fact I was wearing black flats from American Eagle that are the most comfortable versatile shoes ever. Whoever brought back the flat is genius. I wore them with the outfit below AND the scrubs that were given to me.

So this picture didn't come out too well. You can't see the ruffles on my black shirt, but it was really cute. Again I was not wearing these 4 inch heels around campus... thats suicide.

So am I the only one that steals masks and caps from surgical units? Can you tell I'm smiling?

So after getting back to the hotel early today I decided a work out would make me feel better. I headed down to the little fitness center which basically has everything I ever use to work out. Treadmill, elliptical, weights, and training balls.

So yesterdays post was a bit emo, but I really think I've gotten over the worst of it. I just finished reading two chapters so blogging was considered my break. Now back to the books.
